Discovering That Your Child Needs Help
Can Be Overwhelming

When parents discover that their child has difficulty with speech and language, or has a feeding disorder, they often find themselves lost in a sea of different opinions and emotions. It’s hard to know where to turn or who to listen to. Everyone says that their way is the only way. However, the fact of the matter is that children are different. They all have different needs. So there is not a single approach, therapist, or program that is right for every child.

That’s why I developed this site. I want you to have the information you need to make the right decisions for your child. It’s scary, I know. Aside from being a therapist who has spent over twenty years helping children, I am also a mom who has needed to get help for her own kids. So I get it.

This site is dedicated to helping you get the answers you need. To get started, simply choose one of the categories below. Or, if you want to find out more about me and my background click the button below.

Testimonials

My husband and I did a lot of research on speech therapy. Fortunately, I have a friend who knew Isa on a personal and professional level. She assured me that there was no one better than Isa Marrs. Well, we owe my friend a debt of gratitude. Our child has improved with every appointment. Normally a shy child, she excels and feels happy when it is time for her weekly speech appointment. Isa has given her confidence in herself.

In the year Isa has been working with my daughter, her progress has been amazing! My daughter loves coming, and works so hard to follow Isa’s advice on her speech. On the whole, Isa is the most rational, caring, warm-hearted person my daughter has ever worked with. Her ability to understand the parents point of view, and see things clearly and rationally has been WONDERFUL for our entire family. I trust and respect Isa whole heartedly.

My son’s speech therapy had magical results. When he started, he was willing to talk and excited to share his ideas, but became frustrated when people could not understand his articulation. His therapist provided him with the skills necessary to improve his articulation, and she did this with patience and good humor.
